The Best Way to Quit Smoking With Vaping

Why Quit Smoking With Vaping?

If you smoke, you know you don’t keep spending money on cigarettes because you enjoy smelling like an ash tray, having society stigmatize you, or risking a dread disease. These days, few people doubt that the nicotine that cigarettes deliver is an incredibly addictive drug. In fact, the National Institute of Health found that just about half of smokers try quitting each year, but sadly, only about six percent succeed. Certain replacements or therapies may improve the odds that you can successfully stop smoking. Continue on to see how you can quit smoking with vaping.

For instance, Harvard Health has published studies that demonstrate vaping can improve the odds of smoking cessation, and it’s even proven more successful than other methods of smoking cessation therapy. For instance:

  • About twice as many people managed to replace smoking with vaping than managed to quit with other nicotine replacement therapy. Some of these nicotine replacement therapies might include nicotine gum, mints, or patches.
  • People enjoyed vaping, so about eight times more of the vaping group kept vaping than the alternative therapy group kept using their products.
  • The vaping group also reported fewer coughs and less phlegm.

Why Doesn’t Everybody Stop Smoking by Vaping?

Vaping devices simulate smoking, but they don’t produce any smoke. Instead, you can inhale vapor that contains nicotine and typically, a flavor. Yes, you will still have the addictive nicotine, but you won’t inhale the tar and dozens of other dangerous chemicals in cigarettes. While nobody can claim that vaping is totally safe, it’s certainly considered much safer than cigarette smoke.

A UK government study estimated that e-cigarettes were probably about 95 percent less harmful than traditional cigarettes. Plus, they doesn’t smell bad, and since there is no smoke, there is also no second-hand smoke.

The American Heart Association won’t call vaping safe, but they do say that vaping is “likely significantly less harmful than cigarettes.”

The Best Way to Vape to Quit Smoking

Of course, many smokers try to vape to quit smoking and don’t really understand what kinds of vaping devices or vaping liquids will work for them. Sure, vaping delivers nicotine, but the wrong e-cigarettes or e-liquids won’t also deliver the best experience, so you may get frustrated and give up. To give you an even better chance of stopping smoking through vaping, this article will share some tips that ex-smokers have shared.

Vaping Liquids to Stop Smoking

You might think you need to start looking for a vaping device, but really, you might consider the kind of vaping juice that you should use to stop smoking. Cigarettes are bad for you, but they’re incredibly good at delivering nicotine rapidly. The best vaping liquid can help satisfy you, so you won’t crave a smoke as much.

Nicotine salts are a recently new development. Smokers and ex-smokers tend to like them because they can deliver more nicotine without tasting or feeling harsh than traditional vape juice. If you’re a heavy smoker, you might look for nicotine concentrations up to five or six percent. Otherwise, you can also find nicotine salts with concentrations of about three percent, and eventually, you might even scale that down to zero percent.

Vaping Devices to Stop Smoking

Vaping devices that are called pod mods have become increasingly popular lately. One of the most popular examples of a pod mod is the Juul and it’s many imitators and copiers. You can find the Juul in vaping and many convenience stores, and that’s also where you buy replacement pods that you simply plop in and out.

Juul does a good job of delivering nicotine and an experience that’s familiar to smokers. The main criticism is that the pods can get almost as expensive as cigarettes in some places because they’re not intended to be refillable. However, companies like OVNS have created refillable pods that work with the Juul, and they even sell their own devices that work with Juul pods or the refillable ones.

If you’d rather save money by starting out with refillable pods in the first place, you might consider vaping devices like the Smok Novo. With these, you simply buy nicotine salt juice in a bottle, and this works out much cheaper than buying refillable pods all of the time. Anyway, you might start with a simple pre-filled pod system and then graduate to refillable pods to save money once you get the hang of it.

Should You Stop Smoking by Vaping?

Everybody has their own reasons to stop smoking and may find success with a variety of replacements. Nothing here is meant to be taken as any sort of medical advice. If you have concerns about vaping, you might speak with your doctor or another health professional. Vaping allows you to lose the smoke smell, and about 70 carcinogens found in cigarette smoke. Also, you can buy vape liquid in dozens of flavors that range from fruit to coffee. Most devices produce very little odor, and what they do produce, is mostly from the flavor.

If you have tried to stop smoking and failed, you might find that vaping offers you the replacement you need to kick the habit for good.

You bring up great points for vaping as a way to stop smoking. I don’t know anyone who ever stopped vaping though.

So I was told that vaping delivers nicotine, but not that the wrong e-cigarettes or e-liquids won’t also deliver the best experience. I started out without much experience or help and was almost frustrated to the point of giving up. Good thing I was determined to stop though. Took me a while but I know understand the whole vaping thing.

A couple of years ago, I tried using the old-style cig-a-like devices to quit smoking and failed badly. The newer pod devices with nicotine salts work better to quit smoking, IMO.

True. Vaping allows you to lose the smoke smell, and about 70 carcinogens found in cigarette smoke. What more could be safer than this. I personally recommend this and would definitely advise anyone I know to choose this over cigarette smoking.

One amazing thing about vaping is that you can buy vape liquid in dozens of flavors that range from fruit to coffee. I particularly love the coffee flavor and it just makes the whole thing interesting and fun. Trust me, if you drop cigarettes for this, you will not regret the decision

If you want to start vaping, save money and start with refillable pods like the Smok Novo. It’s not expensive and I have been using mine for a while now without issues! It’s just the best vaping device that I have come across and used comfortably.

That Harvard study is a big eye opener. I saw a lot of good from the result of the study and if the vaping group reported fewer coughs, less phlegm and a lot more better conditions, I think this should be a better option to suggest to people struggling to quit smoking.

It’s just unfortunate that half of smokers try quitting each year, but only about six percent succeed. If this figure is not unfair then I do not know what else is. I think these people should be given better options for replacements or therapies which may highly improve the odds that they can successfully stop smoking.

If vaping can improve the odds of smoking cessation, and proves to be more successful than other methods of smoking cessation therapy, why aren’t more people embracing it? I think therapists or whoever should start recommending this to smokers so they can reduce their health risk and that of others who join in inhaling the smoke from their cigarettes.

Really? Vaping devices simulate smoking but don’t produce any smoke? I think I’m good with that! Since it’s just vapor that contains nicotine and flavor and I will still have that addictive nicotine, then I’m taking it over cigarette smoking.
